JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Searching for my sister, Eugenia Chimowicz #general
Rosa Raskin
My blond-haired, blue-eyed sister, Eugenia Chimowicz, was a member of
a different Schindler's list, details being promoted by Amazon.com for 3 more days in "Walk Forward." My sister would be in her late 70's. She disappeared in Stutthof during the week of Sept 3-10, 1944, at the age of 9 years. Like many who originated in the Lodz Ghetto, she had duplicate records. I donated my father and uncle's letters to USHMM, these letters were in Israel, with a cousin who did not know that I exist. My youngest sister and I donated mouth swabs in the Shoah DNA project, and the book has been key in discovering new information as all databases and contacts have been exhausted to date. My Uncle Alfred (Abram Josef) Chimowicz chose the members of the 500, the only group known to date to have made it through Auschwitz as a group with young babies who were kept with their mothers. I have included every name I know in "Walk Forward," perhaps someone in this group might recognize a name, any assistance would be incredible. Thanks much in advance, Rosa Shine Raskin (nee Chimowicz) Highland Heights, Ohio 44143, USA rosaraskin@... http://www.amazon.com/Walk-Forward-ebook/dp/B009H6Y7AC trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zp7uQap6p2M MODERATOR NOTE: Private responses to Rosa, please
