I have been researching my late uncle's family. I found that he had an elder
brother named Summer. I looked on the web, in the Jewishgen Info files and in the
past Jewishgen discussion group for the origin or meaning of the name, but I have
been unable to find an answer. I am trying to match up this information to a family
tree in which a son supposedly born to my uncle's parents a year after this child
was born is given the Hebrew name Itamar. There is a possibility that he (Summer)
may have changed his name. In any case what is the origin of the name Summer and
how may it connect to the Hebrew name Itamar.
