A friend has her grandfather's Russian Army book (he was born in 1876 in Leczna then considered Russia now Poland) - whereby it states that her grandfather served in the Russian Army 14th Battery Reg. 1897-1898.
Is there any possibility that paperwork exists somewhere that would show exactly his army record at that time?
