You should check the indirect Hamburg Passenger Lists (many of which are not indexed) via Ancestry. Ships often stopped along the way before they went to South America.
In addition, some lists >from the port of Bremen are available online.
I notice you have family in Brazil--you ought to check the Brazil Immigrant Cards on FamilySearch.org.
