The Israel State Archives has undertaken a gigantic project of scanning much of
their collection. They have asked the Israel Genealogy Research Association [IGRA]
to build a database based on the certificates of marriage & divorce >from the
Mandate Period that they have scanned. This is no small project. The certificates
include information on the parents and even the witnesses. This may not be the
complete registry. The database will be based on the certificates
issued by the Rabbinate.

We are looking for volunteers who can read Hebrew handwriting and type Hebrew in
excel. IGRA will undertake the transliteration of the names of the brides and
grooms to enable people to search the database in either Hebrew or Latin letters.
