Ancestry Australia has made their over 12 million individual military
records >from their ANZAC databases available for free access through Sunday
26 April 2015 AEST (There is a 14 hour difference between Sydney and the ET
zone and 17 hours between Sydney and PT-to check your time go to
Included in the free access weekend are select WWI United Kingdom military
records. To access the free WWI ANZAC Day records go to:

ANZAC Day is the solemn day of remembrance of those Australian and New Zealand Army
Corps soldiers who fought and died at Gallipoli in 1915. It is also a day of
remembrance for all soldiers who have fought and died for their country.
It is celebrated on 25 April each year, regardless of on which day it falls.

You will be required to register with name and email address and a password will be
sent to you or you can use a previous password that you created with former free
access offers. When you get a "hit" you will see "view free access" next to the
record. Click on the view and access the record. This does not require
providing your credit card information.

Be aware that a window opens to say review and save your free record and
suggests you "sign up to save this record". If you click on this box, you
will be directed to Ancestry's 14-day free trial which requires your credit
card information and you are responsible to advise them at the end of the
14-days to not continue the trial or your credit card will be charged.

Ancestry Canada is offering free access to all Canadian Military Records
through 26 April 2015 Midnight ET. To access these records go to:

As above, you will be required to register with name and email address and have a
password sent to you or reuse a password >from a previous free offer. This offer
does not require any credit card information. If you click on the "green"
start free trial on the upper right side you will be directed to the 14-day free
access which requires credit card information which you are required to advise
by the 14th day if you do not want to be charged for a regular subscription.

If you try to search any of the non-free access collections for either
Australia or Canada Ancestry sites, you will be directed to the 14-day free trial.
