JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen ViewMate translation request - Polish and Russian #general
Margalit Ashira Ir
I've posted a number of vital records in Polish and Russian for which I need
a translation. They are on ViewMate at the following addresses ...
- Russian. Reizal EDELMAN
- Polish. Birth of Sura Syma EDELMAN 1852
- Polish. Birth of Cypra Perla EDELMAN 1842
- Polish. Marriage of Szmuel EKSZTEJN 1842
- Russian. Birth of Krusa EKSZTEJN 1887
I want to thank all the translators for their assistance in the translations
of so many records now helps me form a more rounded picture of who my
ancestors are. I have a Chazzan, a butcher, a watchmaker, peddlers, matzah
bakers, money exchangers, an uncle who deserted the Russian army, a
grandfather who had 18 children and not the 15 we knew about. The IR and
EDELMAN family has a 300 year history in Biala Podlaska and was well known.
They were simple folks but very proud and that I got >from my parents, but
much of what professions there were in and the three decades of being Bialas
I could not have known without your absolute help. As I work on my multiple
Family Trees I could not help but create a personality for many of my
ancestors. There were real, not just a name and a birth, marriage or death
date on a genealogy tree. Many thanks.
And finally, I will be very remiss if I didn't give a shout out to my new
friend, David Price. You have plugged so many holes in my tree, gave it a
fullness I never expected and have been an enormous help in so many
different ways. May you all go >from strength to strength and continue this
wonderful work you do so that people like me can truly understand and honor
Please respond via the form provided in the ViewMate application.
Thank you very much.

MODERATOR: One way to thank JewishGen and the JewishGen
community - and insure its continuity - is to make a
donation to JewishGen-erosity. Donations can be made in
honor of a special person, in memory of someone, to
commemorate an event, or just because! No amount is too small.
Visit http://www.jewishgen.org/ and click on "Donate" in the
green bar at the top.
