The European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative (ESIF) launched a new website,
http://www.esjf-cemeteries.org/, where one can find a list of their
activities in restoring Jewish cemeteries predominately in Eastern and
Central Europe. The restoration is mainly of cemetery gates. It is not
within their project to replace or repair gravestones. The ESIF was set up
in 2015 as a German-based non-profit organization with a pilot grant of 1
million Euros >from the German government.
