JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Ancestry and TLC Partner to Produce TV Docu-Series "Long Lost Family" #general

Jan Meisels Allen

A new docu-series will air starting March 6 [in the U.S.), "Long Lost
Family", an eight-episode series featuring people who have suffered a
lifetime of separation and are longing to be reunited with their birth
parents and biological families or find children they placed for adoption
years ago. It will air on The Learning Channel (TLC). It is best to look
at your local cable listing to find your local station.

The hosts are both adoptees, Chris Jacobs and Lisa Joyner who follow the
stories of families trying to find their biological families. The
investigation will use records and DNA technology to search for answers.

Ancestry offers DNA testing as one of their products.
