"Stephen P. Morse One-Step Webpages: An in-depth Discussion" with Barry Halpern
Time: 10:00 am until noon
Location: JCC (Denver) at 350 South Dahlia Street
This session is free and open to the public!

Many of our members may recall that Steve Morse was the featured speaker for our
annual seminar program several years ago. While Steve is not yet returning to
visit the JGSCO, this is your opportunity to catch up on the world of the One
Step Webpages.

Stephen P. Morse is known to many genealogists as the creator of the "One-Step"
website. Many of us refer to it as the "Steve Morse website". However it's
referred to, it has become an indispensable tool for genealogists doing online
research. Steve has been building the website for more than ten years, so if you
haven't visited it lately, you may be missing something!

Barry Halpern will review the various features of the website, and provide hands
on examples and guidance in how to get the most of your research time.

About the Speaker
Barry has been researching his family history on and off for more than 15 years,
though much more intensely during the past several years since he retired >from
a 35 year career in the insurance business. Barry and family have had a long-time
interest in Jewish communities in Asia, having lived and worked there for about
20 years. Now that Barry is no longer a business professional, he has become an
amateur at several pursuits: genealogy, photography, astronomy and tennis, in
addition to now being known as an amateur book author. Barry has served on
various positions for the JGSCO, and is currently the newsletter editor. He is
also on the Board of LitvakSIG, serving as Secretary, and is a member of the
Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Boston.
