The place of burial is often completely unrelated to the place of
death. All of my family members who have lived in NYC all their
lives, and some who moved to New Jersey, are buried either in New
Jersey or on Long Island. And it's the New Jersey ones who are
buried on Long Island. That's because they belonged to Burial
Societies or Fraternal Societies, like the Workmen's Circle or The
Knights of Pythias, for example. Burial and death location cannot
be correlated like that.
