JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen ViewMate Photo Identification and Request for Information about Bogenhausen #general

Madeleine Isenberg

Dear Siggers,

This photo was among those of my late aunt, Blanka "Beili" nee
GOLDSTEIN SEIFTER, born in Kezmarok, Slovakia, who survived more than
three years in Auschwitz.

Does anyone recognize who this woman, "Erzsi," was? She appears to be
a blonde. Even in her Holocaust testimony, my aunt never mentioned
Bogenhausen, so I'm unaware if my aunt had been in this
displaced-person's camp, or how they knew each other, unless Erzsi
might have been in Auschwitz with her.

Not knowing Hungarian, the best I can tell is Erzsi sent her this
photo with love, as a souvenir, 22 August 1945, >from Bogenhausen.

Also, can anyone also shed some light on Bogenhausen as a DP camp,
in general?

The photo is on ViewMate at the following address

Please respond via the form provided in the ViewMate application.

Thanks in advance,
