With the Passchendaele centenary and the new Dunkirk film, military history
is on the minds of Ancestry.UK. Ancestry.UK is offering free access to
their military records collection >from 00:01 BST 21 July until 23:59 BST 24
July, 2017. To check the corresponding date and time in your time zone use
the World Clock converter at: . Records cover 300
years, whether it was World War l, World War ll or earlier conflicts, they
are available .

To access the Military records go to:

These include draft, enlistment service, casualties, soldier, veteran
and prisoner rolls and lists, pension records, histories, awards, and more

You will be required to register with your name, email address, password. NO
credit card information is requested. If you try to access collections
other than the featured Military records or try to access the military
records before or after the free access dates you will be invited to
subscribe. Go to: to subscribe. The start
14-day free trial is NOT this special offer and will request your credit
card information. Do not click on that button.

If you are not in the UK area you will get a note on the window asking if
you want to be connected to your Ancestry (i.e .com - US, CA Canada, AU
Australia, Fr France, DE Germany, etc. or continue to the Ancestry UK site.
You want to continue to the UK site as that is the only one offering this
free access to the military records that I am aware about.

Remember not to try this free access until the start date: 00:01 BST 21
July, converted to your local time.
