(Czechoslovakia) I couldn't find any town named "Bogdan" in that
country that is now divided between the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Is there someone who knows what is the real name of "Bogdan" ?

Eve,

Part of pre WWII Czechoslovakia has been also ceded as part of
Transcarpathia region to USSR in June 1945.
Currently town Bogdan (or Bohdan) is known as Belaya Tissa in Ukraine
at 4803 2422, located just North >from the Romanian-Ukrainian border,
close to the larger Jewish town Rakhiv . BTW, prior to WWI town Bogdan
was known as Tiszabogdany.
