JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Request for ViewMate Translation of German Death Record #general
I've posted an 1896 death record of my great-great-grandmother,
Caroline Kahn (nee Gottlieb) in German for which I need a translation. It is on ViewMate at the following address: http://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=VM66054 Please respond via the form provided in the ViewMate application. I would appreciate as complete a translation as possible, as understanding some of the handwriting may help me in deciphering some other death records. I am interested in learning about who was the informant for the death record, whether Caroline was a widow when she died or whether her husband Herz outlived her, where Caroline was born, a confirmation of her parents' names (Loeser and Sanne) as given on Ancestry (is her mother's maiden name given?), and any other particulars that might be extracted >from the record. Thank you very much. Sincerely, Jay Paul Jay P.
