On behalf of the IAJGS Board and our current membership, it is with great
pleasure that we welcome MyHeritage, Ltd. as the first company to become an
Associate Member of our growing family of IAJGS organizations.

MyHeritage, one of the world's preeminent genealogical database and
genealogy service companies, is based in Israel, and was founded in 2003 by
Gilad Japhet. As an avid genealogist, Gilad took special care presenting
Jewish and Israeli research sources by understanding their difficulties.
Some of the accomplishments that MyHeritage is most proud of are their
internationally diverse collection of family trees and groundbreaking search
and matching technologies, its long-time partnership with JewishGen and
Beith Hatfutsot to update family trees, digitizing and indexing Israeli
cemeteries and Sephardic Converso records >from Spain, Portugal and the
Caribbean, and the growth and importance of MyHeritage DNA. MyHeritage is
user friendly worldwide since they are the only genealogy site available in
Hebrew and 40 other languages. For more information about MyHeritage,
please visit their website at

The International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS) was
formed in 1988 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. IAJGS is an umbrella
group of organizations which provides a common voice for issues of
significance to its members, to advocate for and educate about our
genealogical avocation, and to coordinate items such as the annual
International Conference on Jewish Genealogy. For more information on
IAJGS, please see our website at or contact me at
