The Jewish Genealogy Society of Greater Washington will host our
October Meeting and Program on Sunday, October 23 at B'nai Israel
Congregation in Rockville, Maryland.:

10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon
Members Only Beginners and Intermediate Workshops (advance
registration required)

Beginners Workshop:
If you're new to Jewish genealogy, new to JGSGW, or just need to jump
start your research, this workshop is for you. The workshop starts
with an introduction to Jewish genealogy and includes basic
guidelines and strategies, online resources, and the holdings of the
JGSGW library at B'nai Israel.

Intermediate Workshop:
This session is for members who know the basics, but want to take
their research to the next level. It will cover more in-depth online
searching, DNA, a case study, and a question-and-answer session.

These workshops are offered concurrently, so participants may only
register for one session on this date. Registration is limited to 20
members per workshop. Workshops will be repeated March 24, 2019, at
Beth El Hebrew Congregation in Alexandria, VA.

What I Did During My Summer Vacation: Reports >from the IAJGS
Conference in Warsaw
Join us at our program meeting for a panel discussion featuring
several JGSGW members describing how discoveries made during the IAJGS
Conference in Warsaw, or on pre- or post-conference trips, moved their
research forward. You will hear how new techniques, research tips, or
on-site document searches resulted in ah-ha! moments, and proven or
disproven theories.

JGSGW Guest Attendance Policy:
Meetings and most events are free to JGSGW members. Non-members may
attend for a fee of $5. If they decide to join JGSGW at the meeting or
event, the $5 will be applied toward membership. Members who require
personal assistance due to a health condition or disability may bring
an assistant at no charge.
