For the past several years I have been researching the life and career
of the renowned 19th-century Yiddish author Jacob Dinezon (Yankev
Dineson, Dinesohn, Dienesohn) who died in Warsaw on August 29, 1919 (3
Elul 5639). This year, 2019, marks Dinezon's 100th yortsayt.
During the final 25 years or so of his life, Dinezon lived with his sister
and her family (including two daughters) at Dzielna No. 15 and Karmelicka No. 29
in Warsaw. His sister apparently owned a shop that sold "fancy pens."
Although she is referred to in the Warsaw Yiddish newspaper at the
time of his death, as hard as I've tried, I have not been able to come
up with Dinezon's sister's name. As an avid reader of the JewishGen
Discussion Group, I am hoping that someone here might be able to offer
some information or additional avenues for research.
Thank you so much for any thoughts and suggestions.
