My 5 x great grandfather was supposedly the Rabbi of Breznitz (probably not in Czeck). Researching the town name of Berezhany I see various variants of this name but not Breznitz.
Is it the same town or another one probably in Galicia?
The above Rabbi Yosef's wife was a descendant of R' Naftali KATZ and his grandson (also Yosef) married the sister of the Admo"r of Lechowitz.
