JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen ViewMate death record translation request - German (Suetterlin) #general

Graeme Boocock

I've posted a death record in German (Suetterlinschrift) for which I
need a translation. It is on ViewMate at the following address:

Please respond via the form provided on the ViewMate image page.

The record pertains to Adolf Abramowitz, who was the brother of my
wife's direct ancestor. We only learned about this family member when
the Polish archives proactively (and to our surprise) sent us his
birth record when those of his two siblings were requested. I found
record of him attending school in Bielitz in 1896/7, but assumed that
he must have died relatively young, having found no record of him
until now. We know that the family moved to the Berlin area ca. 1900.

This death record appears to confirm that he died at 23 years of age
in Lichtenrade or Mahlow.

I am primarily interested to know the cause of death, if it is listed,
and any occupation details. However, I would very much like to have a
full translation, if possible, since there are often details hidden in
the German words that I cannot read.

Thank you very much in advance,
