Bibliotheque et Archives nationales du Quebec (BAnQ) [Quebec Library and
Archives] announced it will allow the free use of over 100,000 images and
historical documents. These documents have been in the public domain, and
are on their website. It will be a few months until the documents are easily
identifiable. The project to identify more documents will continue into
2020. The documents will be designated copyright free on the BAnQ website.

The website, http://numerique.banq.qc.ca/ is only in French. Go to:
"Patrimoine Quebecois (Quebec Heritage) will contain the historical
documents identified as in the public domain. Select "nos selections" (our
selections) that includes newspapers, maps, postcards, and photos.
Clicking on:" tout voir" to see everything in the Quebec Heritage
Collection.

Thank you to Gail Dever, and her blog Genealogy a la carte, for sharing this
information.
