For the final meeting of the season, the Israel Genealogy Research
Association is happy to invite you to a Question & Answer session by a
panel of experts in genealogy.
Participants in the panel are:
Ms. Susan Edel - Volunteer in the Department for Locating Relatives and
Renewing Family Relations in cooperation with the International Red
Cross. As part of her job, she helps reunite families, especially
Holocaust survivors. Expert in the search for survivors of the Holocaust
and researching family roots in Germany.
Dr. Carol Hoffman - Worked as manager of a network of libraries and
taught at the Universities of Haifa and Jerusalem. Doctorate in
computers and information systems. Volunteer in the Israel Genealogy
Research Association, the Association of Lithuanian Immigrants in
Israel and LitvakSIG. Very familiar with Lithuanian archives and
collections of Israeli archives of Lithuanian Jewry. Expert on
Lithuanian Jewry and methodology.
Mr. Jean-Pierre Stroweis - Former President of the Israel Genealogical
Society and co-chair of the 2004 IAJGS Conference in Jerusalem. Member
of the Academic Committee of the International Institute for Jewish
Genealogy and Paul Jacobi Center. Town leader for Staszow for
JRI-Poland. Expert on genealogical research in Poland and France and
Prof. Yitzhak Kerem - Historian of Sephardic and Oriental Jewry, a
veteran genealogist of Sephardic Jewry. Together with Matilda A.
Tagger, author of Guidebook For Sephardic And Oriental Genealogical
Sources in Israel. Expert on Sephardim and Eastern communities.
