I read some email at the end of 1999 that people were dissatisfied with
the response of Ideal Books to requests for Yizkor books.

Is there any more reliable dealer who might have a collection of Yizkor
books for sale?

We are primarily looking at the towns to the near Ostro Maz (formerly
Ostrova) and Wyskova which are near Warsaw but to the east.
I suppose you found "Ostro Maz" in a document which had a lot of
abbreviations, for that is what "Ostro Maz" is. The name of the place is
still as it always was, "Ostrow Mazowiecka", the second word being there to
distinquish it >from another Ostrow elsewhere; i.e. this is the Ostrow in
Mazowia.

"Ostro Maz" is "the new name" in the same sense that "NYC" is the new name
of what was formerly "New York City".
