I have been successful in using the JRI - Poland indices forSara:
There are no Mormon microfilms for Krosniewice or Gostynin.
Therefore, it is impossible to start a Shtetl CO-OP for these towns.
However, there are five films for Kutno and there is an active Shtetl
CO-OP for this town under the direction of Dick Goldman who is
also the leader of the Kutno Special Interest Group. You can reach
Dick and perhaps offer to help with the indexing by writing him at
According to Miriam Weiner's "Jewish Roots in Poland," only some
20th century records survived. Unfortunately, records less than
100 years old are not available to JRI-Poland for indexing.
There are no records for this town in the Polish State Archives and
Weiner does not list any as well. Since this town is just 14 km (8
miles) west of Kutno, the Kutno Group are likely to be your best
source of help.
