JRI Poland #Poland Registered Polish Businesses in Directory #poland

Carlos Glikson

My congratulations and thanks to all those whose huge efforts and knowledge
made it possible to have the 1929 Polish Business Directory on line!

Howard Fink explained in a mail in the JewishGen Discussion Group that "The
X in front of a Business Name indicates that the business was a registered
business."

In other countries the original info would probably include the birth dates
of business partners, their Identity Documents' numbers, the names of
spouses, the private addresses of partners, and maybe other leads and info
of genealogical interest.

a) Can any fellow lister indicate sources for filed information on
registered businesses in Poland in 1929 for further research?

b) To those who have previously had access to sets of Polish business
registration documents: Could anyone tell the Group what information or
leads we could expect to be mentioned in Polish business registration
papers?

Thank you in advance!
