Is anyone familiar with the woman's name Marmal, spelt (in Yiddish) mem
aleph resh mem aleph lamed? Could it be an equivalent of the Polish secular
name Maria? It belonged to a relative in Lublin.

I've looked on the JewishGen Given Names Database, but haven't found
anything similar.
