Has anyone come across the name BOJMIEL in their research, especially in
relation to the name BERMAN.

My grandmother was Fannie BERMAN WEINBERG. Her parents were Joseph BERMAN
and Lena KATZ BERMAN. For years, I did research on the BERMAN family, and
all I could find were the 1920 and 1930 US Censuses. Recently, I found them
in the 1910 census under BAUMHEIL. I later found an Naturalization index
card for my grandmother's sister (my great-aunt) Gussie BERMAN. I ordered
the document >from NARA and received the Petition for Naturalization with a
big surprise. On this document it said that Gussie BERMAN's original name
was Marjim BOJMIEL. She came to NY >from Warshau, Russia (Warsaw,Poland) on
November 23, 1907 via Antwerp, Belgium on the ship, the Cambroman. She was 6
months old. I looked up the Cambroman on the Ellis Island site and it listed
her as Marjim BOJNIVEL with her mother Liebe BOJNIVEL (Lena BERMAN) and her
older sister Chaya BOJNIVEL (my great-aint Ada BERMAN). There was no
mention of her father, Joseph. On the census 1920 and 1930, it says he came
over in 1905, but I cant find anything about where he came >from or where he
arrived. I would love to find out more about him and the family they came
from in Poland. I can not find anything else about a Joseph BERMAN,
BAUMHEIL, BOJMIEL, or BOJNIVEL on the Jewishgen.org, ellisisland.org or
ancestry.com. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Thank You
