Hi All,

My great-grandfather, Morris Cohen, is buried in the Ostrolenka section
of Mt. Zion Cemetery (NY). Naturalization papers that I have for
Harris/Morris Cohen have the individual listed as coming >from Kamenetz
Lit (possibly Litvosk).

Was it common to bury people in plots owned by a particular burial
society, if that person was >from elsewhere? His wife and her first
husband are both buried in the Ostrolenka section, as well. The first
husband died many years earlier.

Also, is Kamenetz Litvosk far >from Ostrolenka--I was unable to find the
distance.
