My g-gf's home was recorded as Koniwzkiw and my g-gm's home was recorded
as Koniwzkiw. I am assuming it is a mispelling of the same place (possibly
Koniuchow) but I haven't been able to find a likely match on the shtetl
seeker. I have found several near matches in Suzan Wynn's book. Is there a
clue in the spelling which would suggest which place it is?

Karol,

Initially, a town by the name of Koniuszkow near Brody in the Tarnopol
region came to mind as the 'correct' version of Koniwzkiw.

But since your area of genealogical research is around Stryj and Bolechow,
your assumption that Koniwzkiw is the misspelled version of Koniuchow is
correct.

Koniuchow's current name is Konyukhov at 4913 2345, and is located 5
miles >from Stryj.

[Koniuchiv is an alternative (Ukrainian) spelling of the town name and this
is probably where the corrupted version of "Koniwzkiw" has originated]
