Hi to all SIGgers. My gggrandmother Fani (Feige Bashe) BIRENBAUM nee APPEL was born to her parents Zalke (Asher Zelig) APPEL & Gitel LUSTIG in Nowy Sacz in the year 1859. She married to Shaye BIRENBAUM and lived in Spisske Podhradie Slovakia. I recently learned (thanks to JOWBR) that Fani's father Zalke died and was buried in Spisske in the year 1920 and his father was named Alexander Appel. That led me to go back to the indexes of Nowy Sacz and I found a couple that may match by the names Susskind (which goes together with Alexander) & Mindel Appel. They had 2 children Bashe & Moishe. If anyone who has some info on this particular family or any other Appel family of Nowy Sacz it would be much apreciated.
