Hello List,

My grandfather Herman (Tzvi Hersch) Zlotnik emigrated >from Poland to Mexico
in the mid-1920s. I think he stayed in Mexico City for several years and
then went to meet up with his brother in New York City in December 1927. He
entered the United States through Nuevo Laredo and I have his passport and
visa. Where might he have entered Mexico and do any immigration or
passenger records exist?

In the 2001 Mexico City phone book, I found 2 names, Ana Necha Espinosa
Zlotnik and Aurora Espinosa Zlotnik, who are not my family. I also found a
Valdez Leon Zlotnik and perhaps his daughter Diana listed at the same
address. I'm thinking that Valdez Leon may be a cousin of mine. I'm
planning on writing to him, but before I do I was wondering if anyone on
this list who knows Spanish and/or lives in Mexico City, would be willing to
contact him to explore if we might be related. Please contact me privately
if you are willing to do this. Thanks in advance for any help or
suggestions you can provide.
