our Maurer-Offen Family >from Mielec. We can only go back as far as Reizel Ziesel Maurer/ Mauser? and Yossef Meilekh Offen who were born about 1850
and
married about 1870. Their son, Hayyim Mordkhe (Markus) Offen, born about 1872 married Marese Serce Maurer, born about 1875. The family moved to Wien, Austria during the First World War. Marese Serce and her son Dovid went back to Mielec to run the family lumber business. We think Marese Serce was shot by the Nazis and her son Dovid was sent off to work in the local factory about 1942.
