I'm trying to locate some elusive SILVERMAN connections >from NY. My
85-year-old cousin recalls visiting an "Aunt Silverman" -- that was a
respectful form of address in the earlier 20th century, so she doesn't
know the woman's first name. This family may have lived in Manhattan or
the Bronx. There may have been a son named Harry, and a daughter named
Annie who married a man surnamed JESSELSON (?).
"AUNT SILVERMAN" was a sister to my cousin's grandmother; her maiden
name would have been GOLDMANN; she would have been born perhaps in the
1850s or 1860s in the Krakow region of Poland.
Do let me know if any of this sounds familiar.
