Request Polish translation: Drohobycz Galicia delayed death record #galicia
Mark Jacobson
Hi!
I received this strange Galician record for my family through the JRI Poland index. I have posted an image on my website here: http://www.geocities.com/mark_j1_2000/Genealogy.html If anyone wants a larger copy I can e-mail a JPEG of the image. It is the death record for three children who died in different years, but their deaths were apparently recorded together, years later. The JRI index for Drohobycz listed these as 1876 records for deaths from 1857, 1860, and 1861 for three siblings, Ester, Leizer, and Perla KAMERMAN, children of my g-g-grandparents Ichel KAMERMAN and Cypry WEGNER from Drohobycz. The record I received today appears to have been written into a Latin-heading death book >from the 1870s, but written in Polish in 1894. Is there any information in these records, how old were the children? how did they die? why were their deaths not recorded until 35 years later? Thank you!!!
