Harold Rhode asked about the location of the Vilna Duma lists on the net.
The lists for the 1st - 4th uchastoks as well as the 6th uchastok of Vilna
are available for view only at www.knigafund.ru. A free account has to be
established in order to view the documents. I have had an account for
several weeks and just yesterday, I can no longer view these particular
books. Luckily, I also found the 4th uchastok listing through a link >from a
Russian website at http://chigirin.narod.ru/book.html . The 1st uchastok
listing is available through GoogleBooks however, I can no longer find it
using either Latin or Cyrillic character searches. If anyone has success
finding these two books using Google ("Spisok lits....") , please contact
me. Thanks.
