I have been trying for many years to find Vilna records for my gm's family
who used the surname RAYMOND in London >from 1880 onwards. I suspect their
original name was RIMAN.

I believe my gggf was Yosef Riman (1818-1882) who married Rocha Leah with
six children >from Vilna ie Leyb, Chaya, Sora, Kalman, Maurice (b1854),
Rivka (b1858) and Hyman (b1861). My gm was a daughter of Kalman -Rebecca
Riman (b1880).

I have made donations to the impressive VRT project for Vilnius City, 2/3
okrug and also for town of Baguslaviskis but cannot find any original birth,
marriage or death records for them despite many references in their UK
records as "born in Vilna".

I would welcome advice on my next steps.
