Lithuania SIG #Lithuania finding YV witnesses in Israel and research in Ylakiai/Yeloch Courland/Lithuania #lithuania

J G

Greetings to all.

I have had the sheer luck of finding our family's origin, I believe,
in Ylakiai. I would be interested in communicating with anyone who
has been researching for this town in the Telsiai district, Kaunas Gb.

Secondly, anyone researching the Shacht/Shakht family >from this area,
please write to me.

Thirdly, I have also discovered very probably, the relatives who did not
migrate out of Lithuania, in the Yad Vashem data base.

I would like to find in Israel the witnesses, or their surviving family.

If there is anyone on the list in Israel who might like to assist me in
finding these people, I would of course be grateful. I will supply you
with references to the records at Yad Vashem and other available material
to make it, perhaps, easier to locate members of these families.

Also, on a different note, there are three gravestones on viewmate
at Jewishgen. Thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to translate
fully the hebrew on these grave markers. The viewmate ID numbers are
the following:

Please correspond with me if you have any questions.
