My wife and I are about to arrive in Lithuania on Wednesday and plan to
visit the village of Punia where my great grandparents Nathan and Leah
(Baron) Shuster were from. They immigrated to the USA in about 1881 with
their two children, Hyman and Julia Cecila. My grandmother Bessie (b.
1893) was born in Rhode Island, USA. I am interested in any advice you
may have about an institution or office I might visit in Vilnius to talk
about any family records that may be available to view. I am also
curious if there was a Yizkor book project underway that includes the
Punia community.
