Steven Spielberg Jewish Film Archive Accessible On Line #galicia

Dear Gesher Galicia Subscribers,

At the Arutz Sheva web site I read the following
intriguing headline:

"Online Jewish Film Archive Offers Glimpse Into the
Past", which described the Steven Spielberg Jewish
Film Archive.

As a family genealogist, I was drawn to the paragraph
describing the films of five then-Polish cities taken
in August, 1939--Cracow, Warsaw, Bialystock, Lvov and
Vilna.

Since Lvow was closest to my four grandparents'
shtetlach, I viewed that ten minute film, in English.
Although the quality was poor, I could taste the
flavor of the world in which my grandparents were
raised, a world that no longer exists.

There are sure to be other subjects of interest to
genealogists at this site.

Best wishes,

Carole Glick Feinberg
