This looks like Leczyca to me. In Polish, the "L" has a slash and the
first "e" has a tail, and thus it is pronounced "Wenchitsa," but in
Yiddish, it was Lenczyc (Lenchitz).

It is not far >from Lodz and had lots ofJews there before the war.
When the Jews >from there moved to the big city, it was usually to Lodz.
