The Polish passport of my father-in law saved my husband his brothers and
probably his parents too. They remained in Berlin until August 1939, his
father having been tipped off about the Polish repatriation in 1938 and was
absent >from home.
The brothers arrived in England on the 23 August 1939 and the parents made
it a week later.
