According to a written note in my family, my gggreatgrandfather,
Yisrael of Ostraha, "was a mechutan of Rabbeinu Asher Hagadol of
Stolin and Haraha"k R' Mordechai of Lechovitz, as he (Yisrael) took
for his son Yosef, the daughter of R' Aharon of Lechovitz, etc."

I am trying to research this **Yisrael** of Ostraha. Did he have a
family name? (We think it may have been ROSENBAUM or SCHECHTER.) Can
anyone confirm this?

We are >from another of **Yisrael's** offspring, a David (of
Staroconstantine &/or Skalat). Does anyone have any connection to
this David son of Yisrael?
