Does anyone know what congregation/congregations Rabbi Michael LIGHT (son of Rabbi Uri Abraham LIGHT of Posen) was the rabbi of? R. Michael LIGHT lived and worked in New York City in the early/mid 1800s. There is a fair amount of correspondence >from and to him
from the 1850s and 1860s, but other than addresses which appear to
be residential rather than synagogues there is nothing to identify his congregation. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
