Rabbinic Genealogy SIG #Rabbinic Rabbi Mordechai of Karlin (ZACKHEIM?),mid 19th century #rabbinic

Yonatan Ben-Ari

I am researching a Rabbi Mordechai , born in Ruzhin (am not sure if
Ruzhin or Ruzenoi), who was a Rabbi in Karlin (Pinsk) during the first
half of the 19th century. My ggreatuncle, Chaim Dov KANTOR, who was
born in Karlin and came to Palestine (Eretz Yisrael) in the second
half of the 19th cent. mentions in his diary that his mother was
related to this Rabbi Mordechai. >from researching the Rabbis of
Karlin I have good reason to believe that Mordechai was a ZACKHEIM.

According to family tradition (no documented sources) my uncle and my
greatgrandmother were descendants of Reb Chaim of Volozhin or his
extended family through their above mentioned mother.

I have seen George Sackheim's "The Scattered Seeds".

Does anyone have any information regarding the above?
