Rabbinic Genealogy SIG #Rabbinic Radunsky/Rudensky #rabbinic
I'm trying to find information on a rav whose last name is Radunsky or
Rudensky. He was a chevruta of Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer, who learned in Volozhin, Slabodka, and Slutzk. He was married to the daughter of a parnas >from Nezvizh (near Minsk) named [mem, lamed, vet, samech, kuf, yud], which would be either Milevsky, Milvesky, or something along those lines. He had a son named Yerachme'el, who was a successful businessman in Germany. And for a time when there was a council of rabbis in the USSR, he was one of its five members (according to Chimen Abramsky, whose father was Rabbi Yechezkel Abramsky). According to http://www.tog.org.il/m/Article.aspx?id=152, there was a Rabbi Shimshon Radunsky who helped lead the Volozhin yeshiva after R' Chaim passed away. I haven't been able to find a single mention of this rabbi anywhere but this article. And according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shlomo_Heiman, there was a Rabbi Yochanan Rudensky of Volozhin as well. I managed to find a record of a Rachmel Rudenski who was born in 1904 in Shavli and was living in Kovno in 1921, but it doesn't list his father's name. If anyone has any leads, I'd be grateful. Thanks, Lisa Liel
