If you examine on ellisisland.org the image of MOLDOVAN's passenger
manifest, you will see that the town name is difficult to read, but probably
is not "Gychanhzas." Also, several adjacent people on this passenger
manifest come >from the same town, which might help you locate it. The
rarest (judging by how many appear in the 1924/1925 business directory
searchable at www.kalter.org/search) of these surnames seems to be RUSZ.

I found an information about an ship passenger >from hamburg to america NY(
Pennsylvania ship ) in mars1909. His name was Elisic(e) MOLDOVAN. (45 y.o. )
