on- and off-list to my query concerning the birth record of my aunt Lea
KAHAN b. in 1911 at Sighet.

To sum up the answers, it appears that I'll better wait for a couple of
years until the law of privacy will no more applied. Then, phone or write -
better in Romanian - to the local branch of National Archives or to the
embassy.
