Greetings Genners,

The link to viewmate in my recent post came through incorrectly.
Please see post that came through on March 17th (US date) for many
family details. This is the complete viewmate link:

There is also another related family that I am researching and failed
to include. Once again, the information is gathered from, and searches of censuses,
passenger lists, the JOWBR and vital records.

Aaron Scheindelman emigrated >from Iasi as a widower. His wife was
Feige Klepper/Clapper and her burial in Iasi is included in the JOWBR
records. We believe that Feige is the sister of Herschel Klepper of
my previous post. They had two children known to have emigrated from
Iasi around 1900-1905: a son Zeilig (aka Jacob) married Rebecca
Segel/Segal(?) and daughter Jennie who married Nathan Schwartz from
Russia. I located one (maybe two) others that died as children in
the JOWBR records. It is reasonable to believe that there could be
more siblings that we are not aware of. There is a gap in births
between 1885 and 1890.

Zeilig had children Harry/Henry married Mae Nisonoff, Joseph/Joe
married Freda Gold, Fannie married Sam Haimowitz, Anna married Harry
Nathan and Hyman married Sarah Sternbach. Surnames have been spelled
Schendelman and Schindelman. I am working with some of their
descendants on this part of my tree.

Jennie had children Julius, Jacob, George and Esther that I know of so
far >from the 1910 and 1920 censuses. I have no other specific
information on this line. Schindelman descendants do remember some of
these children though.

Once again, if you have any info that could tie the BERKOWITZs to my
family or any info regarding any of these families OR can identify
anyone else in
the picture, I would truly welcome hearing >from you. You can respond
to me directly or on the viewmate form. Thanks again for your

All the best to you and yours,
