Unlikely that you will be able to find death records or matzevot that old. If the
records exist, they would probably be in the Baia Mare branch of the Romanian
State Archives. H-SIG continues to acquire and index records >from Maramaros megye.

A great grand father R. Jona son of R. Naftuli past away on the first day of
Chol Hamoed Succot 5614 - 19 October 1853 and I am looking for his death
registration.

This Village is 25 km South of Sighetul Marmetiei- Maramures, Romania and my
great-grand parents lived there and
in the next village Mara (Alternate names: Kravcsfalva, Krachesht, Cracesti,
Kracsfalu.

for generations.

I would be very thankful for any other info about these two villages.
