Scandinavia SIG #Scandinavia MIELZINER and CARO(W) from Schubin/Szubin #scandinavia

I have done a little research into the Mielziner family. I recently read
the early 19th century Jewish records for the tiny town of Schubin - now
Szubin - at the archives in Bydgoszcz (then Bromberg) because it was the
home town of part of my family. Since the Jewish community was also tiny, I
figured the likelihood of intermarriage between the local families must be
high, so I noted down all the Mielziner records I came across as well as my
family's and some others.

Then I read that the mother of Rabbi Dr Moses Mielziner (born 1828
reportedly in Schubin (I could not find the birth record!)) was Rosa
MIELZINER nee CARO.
My greatgreatgreat-grandmother was Rosalie Reisel BROCK nee CAROW in
Schubin, whose children were born in the 1810s and 1820s. I have not (yet!)
found any connection.

There is a Mielziner family tree dating >from 1928 at the American Jewish
Historical Society archives.
Have any of you got a copy???

There is also some family historical data in the biography of Moses M. by
his daughter-in-law:

Ella MacKenna Friend Mielziner: Moses Mielziner, 1828-1903; A biography with
a bibliography of his writings. With a reproduction of his Slavery amongst
the ancient Hebrews and other works. Preface by Joshua Bloch
New York, 1931.
Have any of you got a copy or read it???

As to the Danish connection, this is what the Jewish Encyclopedia of 1906
says in the article about Rabbi Dr Moses Mielziner:

"He went to Denmark, where his brother Solomon was minister in Aalborg, and
soon obtained a position at Randers in 1854. In 1857 he was called as
principal of the religious school to Copenhagen, where he remained until
1865, when he was called to the rabbinate of the Congregation Anshe Chesed
in New York..."

The 1880 US census indicates that the children of Moses who were born in
Denmark were with him and their Danish mother in New York at that time.

Below is a very wintery little family tree. I have omitted sources and
biographical info. That would have made this posting even longer.

My only "original" contribution are the early Schubin births and deaths from
the 1830s/1840s.

CAVEAT! I AM NOT CERTAIN WHO SALOMON'S MOTHER WAS!
